Disabling and re-activating your Trend Micro internet protection

If you’re having problems sending large attachments from Outlook, you may need to temporarily disable your Trend Micro internet security.
Here’s how:

  1. Locate and right click your Trend Micro icon (usually found on the right hand side of the task bar)
  2. Click the “Protection Against Viruses and Spyware” option
  3. A pop-up will appear asking you how soon you want to automatically reactivate your protection. If necessary, change the time to the shortest time period available (15 minutes).
  4. Send your email.
  5. To reactivate your protection before the reactivation time, right click your Trend Micro icon, and click the “Protection Against Viruses and Spyware” option again.
